Who doesn’t love smelling fresh? Even better is using a fragrance that is free of toxic nasties and doesn’t harm our furry friends. Let AMR be your guide to choosing cruelty-free options that are kind to your skin and leave you smelling great.

Before we get to our favourite fragrances, what exactly makes one cruelty-free? Well, in the same vein as other products, we are after options that meet the following criteria:

What To Look For When Choosing A Fragrance

At its core, cruelty-free means ensuring that the company does not test on animals, or use animal derivatives in its product.

Additionally, we want the product to be kind to you as well – that means no harmful substances or strong toxic chemicals that could cause your skin to react poorly. After all, what’s the point of smelling nice if you are suffering from an allergic reaction!

We also recommend that you do you research, as many products do not feature a list of ingredients which can make it difficult to know how it was made or with what. Check out the company’s website before you buy, or look up quality resources such as Peta for helpful advice. You might even come across some great brands you’d never heard of.
